Lower Division Clerks who work on the court premises form an important part of the judicial administration. The eligibility criterion is 10 standard pass out or an equivalent educational achievement from a recognized university or board. The age limit is also quite flexible and mostly ranges between 18 to 27 years. As is obvious, there are number of courts spread all over India, hence there are a large number of requirements. Jobs for Stenographer

A lot of job opportunities are available in various departments in the government sector for the post of Stenographer. The opening is for graduates. The candidate should have basic computer knowledge, good communication skills in English and regional language and should have minimum speed of 100 w.p.m. in Shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in Typing typing speed. The applications can be downloaded from the corresponding websites. The candidates should submit the application form on or before the last date in the regional offices. The application should have a color passport size photograph affixed and attested along with the self attested copies of the certificates and mark lists. Kindly note that the last date of the application varies according to the department applied for. The selection procedure is carried out in three rounds. The first round will be a written test which consists of 100 multiple choice questions on General Knowledge, Language ability, Aptitude and Reasoning. There will also be a section to test the Computer knowledge. Each section carries 25 questions of one mark each and will have a negative marking. A time period of 1 hour 20 minutes will be allotted for the exam. The names of the candidates who have qualified the written test will be published in the corresponding websites. On clearing the first round, the candidate is eligible to attend the skill test and the personal interview. The final selection will be based on the total marks of all the three rounds.The age limit is 18-25 years for all categories. The basic salary scale is from 5000- 12000 (+DA+HRA+TA) depending on the performance of the candidate in the selection procedure and the department on which the candidate is placed.
